BIOGRAPHY & RESUME
Caroline Ramersdorfer was born in Lustenau, Vorarlberg, Austria in 1960. She lives and works in Wells, NY.
Ramersdorfer carves slabs of marble to reveal complex interior spaces creating a variety of "views" and perceptions.
Lit from both within and without, the effect is both built and organic, tense and fluid, weighty and ethereal.
Her work explores and reveals the mutability of perception and experience.
